Job summary

McLaren Health Care in Port Huron, MI is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant for night shift within the Float Pool to support patient-centered care. You will perform delegated care tasks, assist with activities of daily living, and ensure safety and privacy in accordance with HIPAA and OSHA.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, at least 6 months of related experience or training, and BLS certification. Schedule includes nights with weekends; full-time status.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Six (6) months of job-related experience and/or training.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association (AHA), American Red Cross (ARC), or Canadian equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Performs specific patient care interventions as delegated by the RN in effort to identify/attain treatment goals.
• Delivers compassionate support, attention, and assistance to patients and families.
• Provides physical support for patients with daily activities and personal hygiene, including bathing, showering, feeding, dressing, getting out of bed, using the toilet, walking, standing or exercising.
• Ensures compliance with all health care regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment and protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control, hazardous waste and other policies and protocols.
• Performs other related job duties as requested.

Maintenance of an environment that is functionally and aesthetically conducive to patient well-being. Demonstrates unit/area-designated competencies.
