Nursing Assistant (NA)

Setting: Skilled Nursing

Shift: Full-time and PRN Evenings (2p-10p) and NOCs (10p-6a)

Responsibilities

• Check residents routinely to ensure their personal care needs are met.
• Review and update care plans daily.
• Inform Nurse Supervisor of any changes in resident condition.
• Assist residents with daily needs and transportation.
• Create a warm, patient, and cheerful environment.
• Prepare residents' rooms and make them comfortable.
• Participate in surveys by government agencies.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a 10th-grade education.
• Completed Nursing Assistant class and in the process of certification.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines.
• Effective communication with staff and residents.
• Active CPR/BLS certification.

This position is subject to a collective bargaining agreement with SEIU 503.
