Job summary

The Waterford at West Bend is hiring a Nursing Assistant for the 2nd shift to help residents live safely, comfortably, and as independently as possible. The schedule runs Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and every other weekend from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

Starting pay is $18.00/hour and up, with the wage scale updated to offer higher starting wages based on experience, qualifications, and applicable certifications. Paid training and benefits available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in nursing, senior living, or related care is a plus.
• Relevant certifications are a plus.
• Reliable attendance and commitment to scheduled shifts.
• Compassionate and respectful approach to caring for older adults.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living while promoting independence.
• Assist with medications, treatments, and other care as allowed by regulations.
• Escort residents throughout the community and assist with meals.
• Support resident activities and programs and build relationships.
• Observe changes in resident condition and communicate with team.
• Treat residents with dignity, respect, and patience.

What You’ll Do

As a Nursing Assistant, you’ll play an important role in helping our residents live safely, comfortably, and as independently as possible. Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing compassionate assistance with activities of daily living while promoting resident independence and choice
• Assisting with medications, treatments, and other care as permitted by applicable regulations and training
• Escorting and assisting residents throughout the community and outside as neededAssisting with meal setup, service, and cleanup
• Supporting and participating in resident activities and programs
• Getting to know our residents and building meaningful relationships with them and their families
• Observing and communicating changes in resident condition or needs to the appropriate team members
• Treating every resident with dignity, respect, compassion, and patience

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for dependable, compassionate individuals who genuinely enjoy helping others.

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous experience in nursing, senior living, assisted living, memory care, home health, or a similar setting preferred
• Relevant certifications are a plus
• Reliable attendance and a strong commitment to your scheduled shifts
• Compassionate and respectful approach to working with older adults
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a care team
• Willingness to learn and grow in the role
