Job summary

AnMed Health in Anderson, SC is seeking a Nursing Assistant to join 7 North Neuro ICU. You will provide personal care, assist with ADLs, monitor vitals, and support nurses during hourly rounds in a high-acuity setting.

Responsibilities

• Provides personal care such as bathing, skin care, turning and positioning, and toileting needs.
• Assists patients with meals, ambulation and other activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Obtains and documents vital signs and reports abnormal results to the patient’s nurse.
• Measures and records intake, output, height and weight.
• Participates in hourly rounds on patients, assessing pain, positioning, potty and call light within reach, and VTE prophylaxis in place.

7 North is AnMed’s specialized 8-bed Neuro Intensive Care Unit and 8-bed Stroke Telemetry Unit, providing high-acuity care to patients with complex neurological needs. Team members are proud to work in the second hospital in South Carolina designated as a Primary Stroke Unit, with this recognition maintained for over 10 years by our dedicated and motivated healthcare professionals. While the unit primarily cares for stroke patients, the team also manages a diverse population of neurological and neurosurgical patients. Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provides personal care such as bathing, skin care, turning and positioning, and toileting needs.

Qualifications:

Nursing Assistant

• Completion of approved nursing assistant training coursework required.
• An exception for students enrolled in an accredited nursing program who have completed one of the hospitals approved nursing courses in their program will be eligible for this position.
• RN students may be eligible to be considered for Student Nurse Technician opportunities. Students must be able to provide a copy of their college transcript showing successful completion of class requirements.
