Job summary

Emerson Hospital in Massachusetts seeks a Nurse Manager to support nursing staff across the hospital. reporting to Associate Chief Nursing Officer, you will have authority to make nursing practice decisions and act as administrator in the building when needed.

Requirements include a BSN, accredited nursing program, 2+ years hospital leadership, and Massachusetts nursing licensure. ACLS/PALS preferred; strong leadership and communication skills essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
• BSN required for all individuals hired after October 1, 2009.
• Minimum two years current hospital nursing experience with knowledge of management principles.
• Demonstrated leadership experience required.
• Current license to practice nursing in Massachusetts required.
• ACLS preferred; PALS preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving, prioritization, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.

Hours/Pay Period: Variable

Salary Range: $38.51 - $75.52 / Hourly

Job Summary

S/he has full authority to make decisions regarding nursing practice, as outlined in the Nursing Practice Acts of Massachusetts and within the framework of established hospital policies. Serves as the administrator in the building in the absence of other management. Has the authority, in emergency situations, to make decisions of broader scope within this framework.

Minimum Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
• BSN required for all individuals hired after October 1, 2009.
• Coursework in management, business, public health, health administration preferred.
• Minimum two years current hospital nursing experience with knowledge of management principles.
• Demonstrated leadership experience required.

Licensure and/or Certification

• Current license to practice nursing in Massachusetts required.
• ACLS preferred.
• PALS preferred.
• Exceptional ability to problem-solve and prioritize issues.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
