Job summary

UTHealth Houston's Cizik School of Nursing seeks a Director of the Academic Success Center to provide strategic leadership for academic support programs serving undergraduate and graduate nursing students.

The role leads program planning, budget oversight, and quality improvement, collaborating with faculty and student services to promote retention, progression, and graduation while fostering inclusive learning.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree in Education, Psychology, or Nursing with a focus on nursing education and academic success.
• 7 years of experience working with nursing students and at-risk students.
• RN licensure preferred upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic direction for the Academic Success Center and its programs.
• Oversee budget, personnel, and program assessment to ensure quality and outcomes.
• Coordinate BSN Tutor, Ambassador Leadership, and NCLEX preparation initiatives.
• Collaborate with faculty, student affairs, and campus partners to enhance learning outcomes and engagement.
• Ensure compliance with applicable policies and continous quality improvement.
