Job summary

Northeastern University seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse to serve as a full-time Nursing Academic Coach for the ABSN program. The role supports students through individualized and group tutoring, helping them master nursing concepts, pharmacology, and clinical reasoning in a fast-paced academic setting.

The ideal candidate holds an active RN license, a BSN from ACEN/CCNE-accredited programs, and at least five years of clinical nursing experience, with strong communication skills and experience

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license in the applicable state.
• BSN from ACEN/CCNE accredited program.
• Minimum 5 years of clinical nursing experience in acute care or specialty areas.
• Strong knowledge of nursing fundamentals, pharmacology, pathophysiology, and clinical reasoning.
• Excellent communication and ability to explain complex concepts.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one and small group tutoring for ABSN students.
• Develop individualized study plans for students needing extra support.
• Teach study strategies and test-taking techniques for nursing exams.
• Support clinical reasoning and critical thinking development.
• Create supplemental materials and resources aligned with course content.
