Job summary

Orbis Education seeks Nursing Clinical Instructors for the ABSN program in Norfolk, VA. In this role you will support clinical education and supervise students at partner facilities, guiding psychomotor skills, standards of practice, and critical thinking.

Ideal candidates hold a Virginia (or compact state) RN license, a BSN, and are pursuing an MSN with at least two years of teaching and two years of clinical nursing experience. Shifts run 8–12 hours in clinical settings.

Qualifications

• Two years of teaching experience preferred.
• Active, unencumbered RN license in Virginia or a compact state.
• Two years of clinical nursing practice must be demonstrated.
• Currently pursuing a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN).
• Ability to work 8–12 hour shifts in clinical settings.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate effective student learning in the clinical setting.
• Provide guidance for students regarding professionalism, practice, and research.
• Selects and organizes learning activities aligned with course objectives.
• Ensure effective evaluations of student practice.
• Promote evidence-based practice in clinical education.
• Provide a supportive learning environment with timely feedback.
• Collaborate with faculty, administration, and healthcare partners.
• Attend required orientation, training and faculty meetings.
