Job summary

Orbis Education in Nashville seeks energetic Nursing Instructors to oversee ABSN student clinical rotations in partner facilities. As a Nursing Clinical Adjunct Instructor, you will educate ABSN students in psychomotor skills, standards of practice, and critical thinking.

Preferred: three+ years teaching; RN license in Tennessee; BSN and National Certification or MSN in progress; 3+ years clinical nursing experience; ability to work 8–12 hour shifts in clinical settings.

Qualifications

• Minimum: current unencumbered RN license in Tennessee
• Completed BSN AND National Certification OR attending MSN OR 10+ years experience as RN
• Three years of successful clinical nursing practice
• Able to work 8–12-hour shifts in clinical setting
• Master’s degree in nursing and RN licensure are required or in progress

Responsibilities

• Facilitate effective student learning in the assigned clinical setting
• Provide guidance for students in professionalism, practice, and research
• Select and organize learning activities to meet course objectives
• Ensure effective evaluations of student practice
• Promote evidence-based practice
• Provide a supportive learning environment with feedback to supervisory personnel
• Collaborate with faculty, administration, and healthcare partner staff
• Attend all required orientation, training and faculty meetings
