University of Connecticut Health Center in Farmington, CT seeks an Assistant Nurse Manager for the Medicine 4 Unit. The ANM provides leadership, oversees daily operations, and coordinates clinical and administrative duties to deliver holistic patient care.

The role reports to the Nursing Manager and requires a BSN, CT RN license, and 3 years of acute care RN experience, including 2 years in a Medical/Surgical unit, with supervisory responsibilities.

Competenze

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is required.
• Current license to practice nursing in Connecticut is required.
• Three (3) years of acute care RN experience.
• Two (2) years of RN experience on a Medical/Surgical Unit.
• Supervisory or charge function responsibilities.

• Organizes, plans unit workflow and determines priorities; schedules, assigns, oversees and reviews work of unit staff.
• Makes recommendations for personnel actions such as selection, discipline and performance; conducts or assists in conducting performance evaluations.
• Leads the planning of care and implementation of the nursing process.
• Maintains and promotes standards of nursing.
• Provides staff orientation, training and assistance.
• Provides corrective feedback to staff to support achievement of performance standards.
• Participates in interdisciplinary meetings regarding patient care implementation and performance improvement.
