Hartford HealthCare's Greater Manchester Region is recruiting an Assistant Nurse Manager to serve as a clinical expert and leadership role model for Registered Nurses and staff.

The role directs work to ensure safe, efficient patient care, reviews assignments, supports team members, assigns workload, and collaborates with the manager to maintain performance and quality.

Qualifications

• BSN or related field; candidate in process of completing educational requirements considered.
• Current CT RN license is required.
• Charge nurse or supervisory experience required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise nursing staff to ensure safe, efficient patient care.
• Review patient care assignments and ensure staff qualifications.
• Support team, monitor performance, and collaborate with manager.
• Act as clinical expert and role model for staff.

The Assistant Nurse Manager is recognized as the clinical expert and is a leadership role model for Registered Nurses and all staff under their supervision. The Assistant Nurse Manager directs the work to ensure the overall care of patients is managed in a safe and efficient manner. This leader will review the assignment of patient care activities assuring that staff is qualified to care for assigned patients. The Assistant Nurse Manager will support team members and ensure quality and service excellence to patients. They will also facilitate solutions for challenging patient care situations. The Assistant Nurse Manager will appropriately assign the workload and collaborate with manager to monitor and maintain staff performance.
