James A Haley Veterans Hospital and Clinics in Tampa, FL seeks an Assistant Nurse Manager for the 4A acute medical-surgical unit (24 beds). The ANM will supervise the nursing team, coordinate operations, and ensure timely, standards-aligned patient care across shifts.

Qualified candidates hold an active RN license, a BSN or higher, and demonstrate progressive nursing leadership. The role emphasizes staffing, quality metrics, and readiness for accreditation.

Qualifications

• English language proficiency is required.
• Graduate of an approved nursing program with current RN license.
• BSN or higher degree preferred; master’s level nursing degree acceptable for advancement.

Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing staff and coordinate clinical operations for the 4A unit.
• Assist in staffing, workload distribution, and performance evaluations.
• Ensure that nursing care delivery meets standards and regulatory requirements.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and patient safety metrics.
• Collaborate with the Nurse Manager and Nurse Educators on orientation and annual competencies.
• Lead accreditation readiness and regulatory compliance within the unit.
