Villa At Borgess Place in Michigan is seeking a Nurse Unit Manager LPN to oversee daily nursing activities, ensuring high-quality care through assessment, implementation, and evaluation of the care plan. The role involves staff supervision, care standards, and coordination with administration and therapy teams to optimize resident outcomes.

Ideal candidates hold an LPN license in the state, CPR certification, and at least 2 years of supervisory experience, preferably in long-term care/MDS

Qualifications

• Current CPR Certification required.
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensed in the state.
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
• Long-Term care and MDS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages the nursing staff, schedules breaks, reassigns employees, writes performance reviews, and enforces policies.
• Meets with administration, medical and nursing staff, therapy, and other departments in planning care.
• Develops and maintains care standards.
• Makes rounds to observe resident conditions and ensure staff adherence to nursing standards.
• Provides and receives nursing reports at shift changes.
