Job summary

Villa Healthcare in Michigan seeks a Nurse Unit Manager LPN to lead daily nursing operations, ensure quality care, and coordinate assessment, care planning, and evaluation.

You will supervise staff, participate with administration, maintain standards, document care per regulations, and support infection control and safe workflows. CPR certified and active LPN license required. This role offers growth opportunities within Villa Healthcare.

Qualifications

• Current CPR Certification required.
• Possess a current license to practice in the State as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
• Long-Term care and MDS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages nursing staff, scheduling breaks, reassigning employees, writing performance reviews, and enforcing policies.
• Meets with administration, medical and nursing staff, therapy, and other departments to plan care.
• Develops and maintains care standards.
• Makes rounds to monitor resident conditions and ensure compliance with nursing standards.
• Gives and receives nursing reports during shift changes.
• Documents data per Medicare/Medicaid and company standards.
