Job summary

Springside Skilled Nursing Home & Rehabilitation in Pittsfield, MA is seeking a Nurse Unit Manager for the Long-Term Care Unit. The position offers a full-time schedule with Monday–Friday work and weekend on-call rotation every 6 weeks.

Requirements include MA RN or LPN licensure, CPR, and at least two years of clinical nursing experience, with one year in long-term care. Supervisory experience and infection control exposure are strongly preferred.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Current, unencumbered RN or LPN license in Massachusetts.
Current CPR certification.
Two years of clinical nursing experience in a hospital, nursing care center or related healthcare setting; minimum one year in long-term care.
Experience in supervision and teaching principles; infection control/prevention.
Experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices preferred.

Responsibilities

Assure appropriate utilization of resources for quality patient care.
Communicate with other departments, patients, and families to ensure a coordinated interdisciplinary approach.
Oversee unit and nursing staff and assist as needed.
Assist with orientation, education, competency, and practice improvement of other nursing personnel.
Surveillance of resident and staff infections monthly with audit of isolation practices.
