Job summary

Springside Skilled Nursing Home & Rehabilitation in Pittsfield, MA is seeking a Nurse Unit Manager for the Long-Term Care Unit. The position offers a full-time schedule with Monday–Friday work and weekend on-call rotation every 6 weeks.

Requirements include MA RN or LPN licensure, CPR, and at least two years of clinical nursing experience, with one year in long-term care. Supervisory experience and infection control exposure are strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current, unencumbered RN or LPN license in Massachusetts.
• Current CPR certification.
• Two years of clinical nursing experience in a hospital, nursing care center or related healthcare setting; minimum one year in long-term care.
• Experience in supervision and teaching principles; infection control/prevention.
• Experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assure appropriate utilization of resources for quality patient care.
• Communicate with other departments, patients, and families to ensure a coordinated interdisciplinary approach.
• Oversee unit and nursing staff and assist as needed.
• Assist with orientation, education, competency, and practice improvement of other nursing personnel.
• Surveillance of resident and staff infections monthly with audit of isolation practices.
