Job summary

West Meade Place, part of NHC, seeks an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to serve as Unit Manager. This role provides clinical leadership for an assigned nursing unit, supports nursing partners, and helps ensure high-quality, coordinated care for patients and residents.

Responsibilities include leading daily clinical operations, monitoring plans of care, and coaching staff while ensuring documentation, compliance and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited nursing program.
• Tennessee RN or LPN license required.
• Minimum 2 years of geriatric nursing experience is preferred.
• Demonstrates leadership abilities and clinical oversight.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day clinical leadership and oversight for the unit.
• Support plans of care and ensure timely follow-up.
• Review condition changes and coordinate care with the team.
• Coach nursing staff and ensure documentation and compliance.
• Collaborate with physicians, leadership, patients, and families.
• Support staffing, workflow, quality improvement and infection-prevention.
• Promote compassionate care, teamwork and professionalism.

Position Responsibilities

• Support implementation and monitoring of individualized plans of care.

• Collaborate with physicians, nursing leadership, interdisciplinary team members, patients, residents, and families.


• Support staffing, workflow, quality improvement, infection-prevention, and survey readiness activities.


• Promote a culture of compassionate care, teamwork, accountability, and professionalism.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program


• Current Tennessee Nursing (RN/LPN) license


• Preferred of 2 years of nursing experience with geriatric patients'


• Exhibits leadership skills
