Jefferson Health is seeking a Nurse Manager to plan, direct, and coordinate nursing care for a defined patient population. You will lead a multidisciplinary team, recruit staff, and drive quality, safety, and patient satisfaction initiatives in a dynamic clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
• 3 years acute care experience
• 2 years experience in a similar or 'like' unit is preferred: demonstrated leadership and management potential.
• Effective communication with patients and families and partners
• Knowledge of patient- and family-centered care principles and collaboration

Responsibilities

• Plans, Directs and Coordinates nursing care for a specific patient care area in collaboration with the Nursing Director and other appropriate nursing leaders and professional develop staff.
• Recruits, interviews and selects staff for the patient care unit.
• Provides leadership and direction in implementation of strategic goals and objectives.
• Develops, implements and evaluates unit policies, procedures and goals, which are consistent with department and organizational goals.
• Completes regular performance evaluations for each staff member and serves as a clinical resource on policies and procedures, patient standards, performance improvement, and risk management.
• Develops and evaluates staffing plans to meet patient and family needs and budget constraints.
• Monitors staffing and schedules to maintain quality patient care and approves overtime when needed.
• Collaborates with leaders to educate healthcare teams on cost-efficient care and resource use.
