Job summary

Qualifications

• Specialized Diploma Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
• Cultural Awareness knowledge of diverse backgrounds and the ability to convey respect.
• Effective communication: transmit/receive ideas clearly with patients and families.
• Knowledge of patient assessment, care planning, and clinical judgment.
• Education for patients and designated care partners on condition, treatment, and recovery.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with patients, families, and staff in accordance with Jefferson Health values.
• Integrates evidence-based practice and clinical expertise with patient preferences for safe care.
• Participates in hospital and practice committees focused on safety and quality.
• Acts as a primary preceptor and mentors other staff as needed.
• Maintains thorough health information documentation and appropriate consent and discharge planning.
