Health First is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager in Florida to lead unit functions, coordinate staffing, and drive quality improvement across rounds of care. You will serve as a role model, ensuring safe patient care, adherence to policies, and ongoing professional development for staff.

The role emphasizes collaboration with leadership to maintain high patient satisfaction, regulatory compliance, and effective use of EMR systems.

Qualifications

• BSN required or expected to complete BSN within the defined timeframe.
• Two years’ experience in acute care clinical environments.
• RN licensure in the State of Florida or endorsement.
• AHA BLS Healthcare Provider certification before start date.
• Knowledge of TJC and Florida Nurse Practice Act.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Direct and assess unit functions to ensure twenty-four-hour patient care, including staffing, schedule, and performance improvement.
• Promote patient safety, patient experience, and staff development through education and CEUs.
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
• Lead performance improvement activities and monitor CQI outcomes.
• Foster effective communication among team members, physicians, and administration.
• Document attendance at continuing education and acquire relevant specialty certification.
