Job summary

The Assistant Nurse Manager at Stanford Health Care Tri-Valley assists the Nurse Manager with clinical management and administrative coordination of a designated patient care unit. Qualified candidates hold a nursing degree, CA-RN license, 2+ years of related experience, and BLS for healthcare providers.

Qualifications

• A degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university.
• CA-RN license required.
• 2 years+ of progressively responsible and directly related work experience.
• Current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers required.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the operational aspects of a designated unit while mentoring and leading staff.
• Supports Nurse Manager in administrative/management functions and acts as Nurse Manager when delegated/absent.
• Coordinates and directs unit patient care operations for assigned shifts.
• Facilitates orientation, training and ongoing staff development; coaches and evaluates personnel.
• Monitors patient care processes and outcomes to ensure quality and safety on the unit.
• Interprets policies to staff and ensures compliance with standards and procedures.
