Job summary

Stanford Health Care Tri-Valley is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager to support the Nurse Manager in clinical and administrative oversight of a designated unit. The role combines patient care leadership with operational coordination to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, coordinating shifts, mentoring team members, and driving performance improvement while ensuring compliance with policy, safety standards, and the C-I-CARE framework.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree from an accredited college or university required.
• CA RN license required.
• 2+ years of progressively responsible nursing experience.
• Ability to delegate, supervise and coach staff.
• Ability to lead process improvement and change.

Responsibilities

• Assist in clinical management and administrative coordination for assigned unit(s).
• Coordinate patient care operations for assigned shift, on behalf of Nurse Manager.
• Mentor staff, coaching and performance evaluation.
• Support continuous quality and safety programs and risk management.
• Ensure compliance with C-I-CARE standards and hospital policies.
