Job summary

Eastern Oklahoma VA Health Care System seeks an Assistant Nurse Manager to support the Nurse Manager in overseeing a nursing unit. You will help draft schedules, monitor performance, and ensure timely, evidence-based care.

Qualifications

• English language proficiency is required for direct patient care.
• Current, full, active, and unrestricted nursing license or eligibility per VA standards.
• Graduate of a school of professional nursing approved by accrediting bodies (ACEN/CCNE) and licensed in the US.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Nurse Manager in overseeing operations of a nursing unit.
• Draft schedules and manage leave approvals.
• Provide input on staff performance and conduct evaluations.
• Assist in selecting candidates for employment and provide leadership.
• Lead staff development and evaluate outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and evidence-based practice.
