Job summary

Virginia Commonwealth University Health Systems in Virginia is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager to provide unit leadership and manage day-to-day operations under the Nurse Manager. You will oversee human resources, regulatory compliance, risk management and financial stewardship to support high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities include planning, organizing, coordinating, monitoring and evaluating care, contributing to strategic planning and ensuring 24-hour accountability for the unit.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in Virginia or eligible.
• Minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience with at least one (1) year in a lead, charge or supervisory nursing role.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited School of Nursing. (per the ad)
• Master's Degree in Nursing or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide unit leadership and management under the Nurse Manager.
• Oversee planning, organizing, coordinating, monitoring and evaluation of care on the unit.
• Contribute to unit's strategic planning and program development; maintain 24-hour responsibility for the unit.
