Job summary

Oakland Community Health Network seeks a Nurse Trainer to help design, implement, and evaluate training curricula for direct support professionals in Oakland and Macomb counties. You will utilize adult teaching strategies to improve care quality and safety, delivering comprehensive, family-centered education.

Must hold an active Michigan RN license with 2+ years of nursing and teaching experience, including long-term care.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited college.
Active Michigan RN license and ongoing professional practice.
Experience teaching adults in healthcare or related field.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and evaluate training curricula for direct support professionals.
Provide education and employee development on healthy lifestyles and nursing basics.
Ensure competency in medications administration and basic health topics.
Align curricula with licensing and state guidelines for direct support staff.
Conduct competency assessments and provide consults on training standards.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
