Job summary

St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Enid, OK seeks a Nursing Student to join the team as a Nurse Tech, working under an RN to deliver safe patient care. The role involves assisting with equipment, monitoring patient status, and supporting education for patients and families.

Based in this 229-bed facility, the Nurse Tech will participate in supervised duties, maintain safety, and help with basic computer documentation as part of UHS-supported services.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in and completion of the first semester of an accredited Nursing Program or current Oklahoma CNA licensure in Long Term Care and ongoing enrollment in an accredited Nursing Program.
• Must pass and complete each semester including clinical and theory classes they are enrolled in.
• BLS required.
• Must demonstrate each task before performing independently; basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assembles and operates equipment for patient care under RN supervision.
• Keeps appropriate people aware of pertinent changes or problems in patient condition.
• Participates in planned education for the patient per Patient/Family Education policy with developmental considerations.
• Reports variances according to UHS risk management processes.
