Job summary

St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Enid, OK is seeking a Nursing Student to join our team. This Nurse Tech role supports RNs and provides patient care across diverse populations within a 229-bed acute care hospital.

As a Nurse Tech, you will learn and apply competency-based skills learned during nursing education while ensuring patient safety and quality care under supervision. BLS, pre-employment assessment, and ongoing program progression are required.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in and successful completion of the first semester of an accredited Nursing Program or current Oklahoma CNA licensure in Long Term Care and current enrollment in an accredited Nursing Program.
• Must remain at the status of a Nurse Tech by successfully passing and completing each semester including clinical and theory classes they are enrolled in.
• BLS required.
• Must successfully complete the pre-employment assessment.
• Must demonstrate each task before performing independently. Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates competence in assembling and operating equipment for patient care under the supervision of an RN.
• Keeps appropriate people aware of pertinent changes or problems in patient condition.
• Participates in planned education for the patient per Patient/Family Education policy with consideration of developmental differences.
• Reports variances according to risk management processes of UHS.
