Job summary

St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Enid, OK is seeking a Nursing Student to join our team as a Nurse Tech. This role supports patient care under the supervision of an RN and offers exposure to diverse patient populations in a 229-bed acute care hospital.

You will demonstrate competence with equipment, communicate changes in patient condition, participate in patient education, and follow risk-management processes. BLS and enrollment in a nursing program are required.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an accredited nursing program and able to provide documentation.
• Must maintain Oklahoma CNA licensure in Long Term Care and remain enrolled.
• BLS certification is required.
• Must pass pre-employment assessment and demonstrate tasks before performing independently.
• Basic computer skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates competence in assembling and operating equipment for patient care under RN supervision.
• Keeps informed of pertinent changes or problems in patient condition.
• Participates in patient education per policy with developmental considerations.
• Reports variances according to risk management processes.
