Job summary

Corewell Health is seeking a Nursing Technician for the Big Rapids Hospital Float Pool. You will work under the supervision of an RN or Provider to deliver basic patient care, document observations, and assist in planning individualized care while maintaining a compassionate, patient-centered approach.

Responsibilities include collecting patient data, communicating with the health care team, and ensuring accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS CPR (AHA) within 90 days required.
• BLS CPR (ARC) within 90 days required.
• CNA certification required on hire for Big Rapids Reed City Nurse Tech Float Pool.

Responsibilities

• Assist with collecting patient data and report observations to the RN or Provider.
• Provide direct patient care under RN direction, ensuring documentation is accurate and timely.
• Explain nursing technician role to patient and family and support safe, cost-effective care.
• Maintain clean patient environment and report equipment malfunctions promptly.
• Demonstrate ethical behavior and protect patient privacy and confidentiality.
