Job summary

Corewell Health’s Greenville Hospital in Michigan is seeking a part-time Nurse Tech to support the Emergency Department team in delivering high-quality patient care. You will work under an RN or Provider, performing vitals, glucose checks, patient hygiene, ambulation, wound care and safety tasks as part of a coordinated care plan.

The role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to department guidelines, and effective communication with the health care team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent work experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through AHA or ARC is required within 90 days

Scope of work

Patient care role within the emergency department of United Hospital. Nurse Techs work under the direction of an RN to care for our patients. Acts as a team member in the delivery of quality patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Provider. Performs basic skills per department guidelines and communicates observations to members of the health care team. Nurse Tech responsibilities include taking vitals, checking blood sugars, bed baths, ambulating, wound care, catheterization and acting as a safety attendant for patients.
