Job summary

King County Department of Public Health is seeking a nurse leader for the Downtown Public Health Clinic Team in Seattle. You will supervise the Pathways Clinic, guiding a team of nurses, medical assistants, social workers and community health workers, with emphasis on equity and quality improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing or MSN/DNP/PhD from an accredited nursing school.
• Washington State Registered Nurse license in good standing.
• Washington State Drivers' License in good standing.
• Current BLS-CPR for Healthcare Providers.
• Experience in opiate disorder programs, care coordination, public health, and/or community-based health programs.
• Demonstrated experience supervising or leading staff in a healthcare, social service, or public health setting.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of staff including hiring, evaluations, training, coaching, and discipline.
• Provide staff training on reflection, trauma-informed care and reduction of secondary trauma.
• Work with community and other agencies to assess needs and implement Pathways Clinic goals.
• Coordinate UW Residents/Fellows schedules.
• Perform Quality Improvement/Quality Assurance through chart reviews.
• Collaborate with lead physician to supervise patient workflow and care team.
• Coordinate funding, data and performance measures and program requirements.
• Process patient satisfaction and grievance surveys and investigations.
• Onboard UW Fellows and manage fellowship closing.
• Oversee clinic expansion as Pathways grows.
• Define clear roles within the clinic.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education

Bachelor's degree in nursing or MSN/DNP/PhD

Washington State Registered Nurse License
