Job summary

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of nursing assistants.
• Ensure nursing staff comply with written policies and procedures.
• Meet with staff to plan shifts, services, and activities.
• Submit written and oral reports on shift activities.
• Coordinate nursing services with other resident services.
• Review and update discharge plans as required.
• Interpret policies to personnel, residents, and agencies.
• Administer professional nursing services as required.
• Perform routine charting and nursing notes.
• Report staffing shortages to Nurse Supervisor.
• Develop work assignments and monitor performance.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident care information.
