Job summary

Shasta Regional Medical Center, part of Prime Healthcare, seeks a Clinical Nursing Supervisor to oversee department operations, drive performance improvements, and mentor nursing staff in a dynamic acute care setting.

Responsibilities include coordinating staff, communicating with physicians and administration, and delivering direct patient care when needed, ensuring high standards of care and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state Registered Nurse license.
• Bachelor Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support certificate (BLS) upon hire and maintain current.
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, with 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports administrative responsibility for the department service functions and collaborates with the unit Director/Manager.
• Develops and implements departmental plans and performance improvement activities.
• Oversees orientation and training of personnel.
• Communicates with staff, physicians, and administration both written and verbally.
• Ensures quality of staff and functions during their shift; direct patient care as needed within scope of practice.
