Job summary

Encompass Health Corporation in Illinois seeks a Nurse Supervisor to lead nursing teams in our inpatient rehabilitation setting. You will oversee patient care programs, ensure policy implementation, and maintain high-quality, compassionate care throughout shifts or units.

The role emphasizes leadership, staff development, and collaboration with administration to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction. A BSN is preferred, with RN licensure and ongoing certifications supported by our

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in the United States is required.
• BLS certification to be obtained (or current) and ACLS certification to be obtained within one year.
• CRRN certification to be obtained within a year of meeting eligibility requirements.
• BSN or related field preferred.
• Two years of recent inpatient hospital experience (within the last five years).
• Previous leadership role such as charge nurse or lead capacity with accountability for patient and staff results.

Responsibilities

• Assists in developing and implementing personalized patient care programs, policies, and procedures.
• Serves as liaison between administration, nursing management, and staff.
• Supervises nursing care, treatment, and services during assigned shifts or on a specific unit.
• Monitors and manages staff, including on-the-spot feedback, annual evaluations, and performance counseling.
• Assumes patient care as needed and builds relationships to support recovery.
• Celebrates patient victories along the way.
