Job summary

Encompass Health Corporation seeks a Nurse Supervisor to lead nursing teams in our inpatient rehabilitation setting. You will oversee care plans, policies, and procedures, collaborating with administration and staff to ensure high-quality, compassionate patient care.

The role emphasizes leadership, clinical expertise, and timely staff development. A patient-centered approach and strong communication are essential for successful recovery and team cohesion.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure as required by state regulations.
• BSN or related field preferred.
• BLScertification with ACLScertification to be obtained within one year of starting position.
• CRRN certification to be obtained within a year of meeting eligibility requirements.
• Two years of recent inpatient hospital experience (within last five years).
• Previous leadership role such as charge nurse or lead capacity with accountability for patient/staff results.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development and implementation of personalized patient care programs, policies, and procedures.
• Serve as liaison between administration, nursing management, and staff.
• Supervise nursing care, treatment, and services provided during assigned shifts or on a specific unit.
• Monitor and manage staff with on-the-spot feedback, evaluations, and discipline.
• Provide patient care as needed and build relationships with patients to support recovery.
• Celebrate patient victories along the way.
