Job summary

Encompass Health Corporation is seeking a Nurse Supervisor to lead clinical teams in our inpatient rehabilitation setting. You will guide patient care programs, collaborate with administrators and nursing leadership, and supervise staff across shifts to ensure high-quality outcomes.

The role emphasizes hands-on patient care, leadership accountability, and ongoing staff development within a supportive, team-driven environment that values compassionate care and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure as required by state regulations.
• BSN certification with ACLS certification to be obtained within one year of starting position.
• CRRN certification to be obtained within a year of meeting eligibility.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
• Two years of recent experience in an inpatient hospital setting (within last five years).
• Previous leadership role such as charge nurse or lead capacity with accountability for patient and staff results.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement personalized patient care programs, policies, and procedures.
• Serve as liaison between administration, nursing management, and staff.
• Supervise nursing care, treatment, and services during assigned shifts or on a unit.
• Monitor and manage staff including on-the-spot feedback, annual evaluations, and performance counseling and discipline.
• Provide patient care as needed and build relationships with patients to support recovery.
• Celebrate patient victories along the way.
