Job summary

UF Health is opening a brand-new Freestanding Emergency Department in Jacksonville’s Intracoastal area and seeks experienced ED RNs to join the team. Help shape the culture from the ground up while delivering high-quality emergency care.

As an RN you will provide nursing care using the nursing process, perform staff nurse duties, and serve as charge nurse when assigned. You must hold a Florida RN license along with BLS; ACLS and PALS are required or preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates in nursing required.
• BSN within 3 years of hire required.
• Florida State RN license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; ACLS and PALS preferred.
• 1 year ED RN experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients using the nursing process and standards of practice.

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides nursing care to patients utilizing the nursing process and standards of practice for a professional nurse. The RN is expected to perform all staff nurse activities and function as charge nurse when assigned. The RN maintains overall accountability/responsibility for assigned patients, even though some activities/tasks may be delegated to Technical Nurses, Patient Care Associates, and/or Sitters. Assignments are performed appropriately to age and developmental level of patients being served.

• Associates in nursing
• BSN within 3 years of hire
