UF Health is opening a brand-new Freestanding Emergency Department in Jacksonville and seeks experienced ED RNs to join the team. The RN will provide high-quality emergency care, act as charge nurse when assigned, and maintain accountability for assigned patients.

The role requires an active Florida RN license, BLS, ACLS, and PALS; 1 year of ED RN experience is preferred. Be part of building a new facility from the start.

Qualifications

• Must have an Associates degree in Nursing.
• BSN within 3 years of hire is required or pursued.
• Florida State RN license is required.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required or in process.

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides nursing care to patients utilizing the nursing process and standards of practice for a professional nurse. The RN is expected to perform all staff nurse activities and function as charge nurse when assigned. The RN maintains overall accountability/responsibility for assigned patients, even though some activities/tasks may be delegated to Technical Nurses, Patient Care Associates, and/or Sitters. Assignments are performed appropriately to age and developmental level of patients being served.

Qualifications

Required Education:

• Associates in nursing
• BSN within 3 years of hire

Preferred Education:

• BSN

Required Licensure/Certifications:

• Florida State RN license
• BLS
• ACLS
• PALS

Preferred Licensure/Certifications:

• Professional certification

Required Experience:
