Where are we located?

You will work on our main residential campus, located at 6067 Decatur Blvd, Indianapolis, IN 46241.

What impact will YOU make?

You will provide medical and nursing services for children and young adults (ages 6-21) with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities!

What are the hours?

• 7:00a-7:00p, weekly rotating schedule Monday - Friday + 1 weekend/month required!
• 7:00p-7:00a, weekly rotating schedule Monday- Friday + 1 weekend/month required!
• +10% hourly premium for night shifts (Monday- Friday 7p-7a)!
• +15% hourly premium for weekend shifts (Saturday & Sunday 7a-7p)!
• +25% hourly premium for weekend night shifts (Saturday & Sunday 7p-7a)!

How you will make a difference...

• Follow health-related procedures and policies throughout Damar.
• Adhere to all policies in the Employee Handbook and Operational Manuals.
• Assess clients' physical, psychological, environmental, self-care, educational, and discharge planning needs.
• Conduct assessments upon admission.
• Administer immunizations, TB serum, and medications, documenting all actions.
• Provide client and staff education on infection control, hygiene, medication, and diabetes care.
• Monitor clients and communicate status changes to physicians or nurse practitioners.
• Ensure proper documentation and communication for continuity of care.
• Participate in team meetings and complete mandatory training.
• Manage medication delivery, chart audits, and passport updates as assigned.

Requirements for consideration...

• Indiana LPN or RN license.
• Experience with neuropsychiatric or behavioral challenges and/or individuals with DD/ID preferred.
• Knowledge of psychotropic medications and current research preferred.
• Minimum age of 21.
• Valid Indiana driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Background screening and pre-employment checks.
• No felony or criminal offenses involving dependents.

Essential Job Functions

Physical: Ability to work in an office setting, stand or sit for long periods, lift up to 35lbs, and operate office equipment.

Vision: Normal visual range with or without correction.

Hearing: Normal audio range with or without correction.
