Job summary

Orlando Health South Lake Hospital in Clermont, FL is seeking a Nurse Resident for the Multi-Systems PCU on a full-time night shift (7pm-7am). The role supports patient care in an acute setting, requiring Florida RN licensure, BLS, and unit competency readiness.

The Nurse Resident will collaborate with nurses and clinicians, participate in patient care planning, and act as a preceptor/educator as needed to support team excellence and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Meets all mandatory, developmental, and performance competency requirements for Orlando Health and unit/department.
• Maintains current State of Florida RN license.
• Maintains current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient needs and develops a plan of care based on patient needs and responses.
• Respects diversity by building respectful relationships with all team members and customers.
• Functions as a patient and family advocate.
• Demonstrates knowledge and skills to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients on the unit/department.
• Serves as a preceptor, charge nurse, unit educator, and/or nurse clinician.
• Collaborates with medical staff and interdisciplinary team to plan and manage the unit/department.
• Maintains compliance with Orlando Health policies and procedures.
