Windham Hospital offers a Nurse Residency program to newly licensed nurses, supporting transition into clinical practice with mentorship and hands-on training. Residents are hired into specialty areas and participate in both clinical immersion and classroom education over 12 months.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a school of nursing.
• New RN graduates or newly licensed RNs welcome to apply.
• Active CT RN license required; BLS certification required; ability to obtain department-specific certifications.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a 12-month Nurse Residency with classroom and clinical education.
• Be hired directly to a specialty area (Med/Surg, Telemetry, Emergency or OR) and receive focused clinical education.
