Job summary

Windham Hospital in CT offers a Nurse Residency program designed to support newly licensed nurses as they transition into clinical practice. This 12-month program combines hands-on training with classroom education and mentorship across Med/Surg, Telemetry, Emergency, and Operating Room tracks.

Residents are hired directly to a specialty area, building clinical autonomy, evidence-based practice, and interprofessional teamwork while benefiting from tuition assistance, health benefits, and paid

Qualifications

• Graduate of a school of nursing; soon-to-be graduates welcome to apply.
• Active CT RN license required; new graduates may start under Graduate Nurse license status with pending license and must obtain license within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a 12-month Nurse Residency program with hands-on training and classroom education.
• Specialty areas include Med/Surg, Telemetry, Emergency and Operating Room; residents are hired directly to a unit.
• Gain clinical autonomy and apply evidence-based practice while developing interprofessional team skills.
