Job summary

Duke University Health System is seeking a Clinical Nurse Educator to lead the Nurse Residency Program and support newly licensed nurses transitioning into practice.

This educator will work with nursing leaders and academic partners to attract, develop, and retain top nursing talent while contributing to educational initiatives that support professional growth and clinical excellence across the health system.

Qualifications

• BSN required
• MSN preferred
• 3 years of nursing, clinical educator, or nursing instructor experience required
• Current RN licensure in North Carolina or compact license
• BLS required
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and/or NRP Instructor level certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead system-wide NPCS orientation that supports safe practice, belonging, and professional confidence
• Create and deliver engaging, learner-centered onboarding experiences that promote readiness and retention
• Partner with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure a consistent orientation experience across all DUHS entities
• Support additional department and organization initiatives as assigned
• Lead system-wide instruction of BLS, ACLS, and PALS courses
