Job summary

Duke University Health System is seeking a Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) to provide staff development across Duke Medicine. The CNE will serve as educator, consultant, facilitator, change agent, and leader, guiding competency validation and ongoing education for DUHS units.

BSN required.
MSN preferred; Master’s degree may substitute years of experience.
Current RN licensure in North Carolina or compact license.
BLS, ACLS, PALS or NRP Instructor certifications preferred.
3 years of nursing, clinical educator, or nursing instructor experience.

Responsibilities

Conduct needs assessments and identify learner outcomes.
Coordinate orientation of new staff and education plans.
Develop core education for competency validation and leadership development.
Plan and maintain educational materials and evaluate program effectiveness.
Deliver evidence-based educational content and lead nursing education initiatives.
