Job summary

Duke HomeCare & Hospice is seeking a Clinical Nurse Educator to support Home Health, Hospice, and Infusion services in the Durham region. You will develop ongoing education for field clinicians using Epic-based workflows and lead trainings on new regulations, programs, and EMR updates.

The role requires RN licensure in NC, a BSN, and 3 years of nursing/education experience, with MSN preferred. A hybrid team environment and opportunities for professional development are offered.

Qualifications

• BSN is required; MSN may substitute 2 years of experience.
• 3 years of nursing, clinical educator, or nursing instructor experience required.
• Current RN licensure in North Carolina or compact state required.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to train staff.
• Experience with EMR systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate orientation, competency and ongoing professional development for department clinical staff.
• Assist clinical program directors with education goals based on data reviews and quality outcomes.
• Develop tools to evaluate program-specific objectives and outcomes.
• Maintain communication between departments and clinical staff regarding policies and procedures.
• Provide ongoing support for Clinical Ladder participants and competency assessments.
