Job summary

Duke University Health System is seeking a Clinical Nurse Educator to support perioperative and imaging services, the DUHS Float pool, travelers, and the DNE onboarding program with competency management and continuing education. You will lead BLS/ACLS/PALS training and system-wide education projects.

Requires a BSN with MSN preferred, 3 years in nursing/educator roles, NC RN licensure, and BLS; ACLS/PALS instructor-level certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• BSN required; MSN preferred for advancement.
• Current RN license in North Carolina required.
• BLS certification required; ACLS/PALS instructor level preferred.
• Minimum 3 years in nursing, clinical education, or teaching role.

Responsibilities

• Lead system-wide NPCS orientation to support safe practice and confidence.
• Create engaging onboarding that promotes readiness and retention.
• Partner with stakeholders to ensure consistent orientation across DUHS.
• Support department initiatives and education programs as assigned.
• Teach BLS, ACLS, and PALS courses across the system.
