Job summary

Premise Health in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join our Centralized Staffing PRN Pool. Provide care to employees and dependents across four local Health Centers with 3-4 days per week, travel between sites, and no nights or weekends.

You’ll perform exams, preventive care, diagnostics, and coordinate with physicians to ensure continuity of care. Must hold an NP license, national certification, and BLS/ACLS as applicable. Ambulatory care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Active state RN and NP licenses with prescriptive authority.
• National NP certification (ANCC or AANP) required.
• 3+ years of ambulatory care NP experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct physical exams and preventive health measures.
• Performs injections, suturing, wound care, and infection management.
• Develops patient care plans, records progress, and ensures continuity of care.
• Educates patients on treatment plans, health maintenance, and development.
• Orders and interprets diagnostic tests to assess clinical conditions.
• Collaborates with physicians and healthcare teams for comprehensive care.
• Prescribes or recommends treatments, including medications and therapies.
• Refs patients to specialists or physicians as needed.
• Maintains patient health records ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation and records.
• Educates and coaches nursing staff on best practices.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

As a Nurse Practitioner in our Centralized Staffing PRN Pool, you'll provide care to client employees and their dependents in our Health Centers located in San Antonio, TX. Looking for availability 3-4 days per week with the ability to travel to four locations in the San Antonio area. No nights or weekends!

What You’ll Do

What You’ll Bring

• Maintains state RN licenses/certificates to practice
• Maintains Nurse Practitioner licenses/certificates to practice
• Maintains State Prescriptive Authority (if applicable)
• Federal DEA license (matching each state of practice as applicable)
• State Narcotic/Controlled Substance license if required in your state (Alabama, Connecticut, DC, Delaware, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Utah, Wyoming, Puerto Rico) (New York ROPES registration)
• Current national certification (ANCC or AANP required)
• Master’s Degree in Science of Nursing (if Master Degree in Science certificate does not state Nursing on it then a copy of transcripts is required)
• Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services
• At least three years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner in an ambulatory care, occupational health, family practice or emergency department setting
