Job summary

Premise Health in Florence, KY seeks a PRN Nurse Practitioner to provide high-quality care to client employees in our Health Center. The clinic operates Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, with no nights or weekends, supporting employee wellness in a professional setting.

The ideal candidate maintains RN and NP licenses, ANCC/AANP certification, and active prescriptive authority, with at least three years of ambulatory care experience. We offer a supportive team and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• State RN and NP licenses required.
• Current national certification (ANCC or AANP) required.
• Three years of clinical NP experience in ambulatory, occupational health, family practice or ED.

Responsibilities

• Conduits physical exams and preventive health measures per guidelines.
• Performs injections, suturing, wound care, and infection management.
• Develops patient care plans, records progress, and ensures continuity of care.
• Educates patients on treatment plans, health maintenance, and development.
• Orders and interprets diagnostic tests to assess clinical conditions.
• Collaborates with physicians and healthcare teams for comprehensive care.
• Prescribes or recommends treatments, including medications and therapies.
• Refers patients to specialists or physicians as needed.
• Maintains patient health records and ensures up-to-date documentation.
• Educates and coaches nursing staff on best practices.

As a PRN Nurse Practitioner , you’ll provide high-quality care to client employees in our Health Center located in the heart of Florence, KY , conveniently situated in Northern Kentucky just south of Cincinnati.

The clinic is openMonday–Friday, from 8:00 AM–4:30 PM , with no nights or weekends, while providing personalized, employee-focused care in a professional Health Center environment.

What You’ll Do

• Conducts physical exams and preventive health measures per guidelines
• Performs procedures such as injections, suturing, wound care, and infection management

• Educates patients on treatment plans, health maintenance, and development

• Maintains patient health records ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation and records
• Educates and coaches nursing staff on best practices
• Performs other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

• Maintains state RN licenses/certificates to practice
• Maintains Nurse Practitioner licenses/certificates to practice
• Maintains State Prescriptive Authority (if applicable)
• Federal DEA license (matching each state of practice as applicable)
• State Narcotic/Controlled Substance license if required in your state (Alabama, Connecticut, DC, Delaware, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Utah, Wyoming, Puerto Rico) (New York ROPES registration)
• Current national certification (ANCC or AANP required)
• Master’s Degree in Science of Nursing (if Master Degree in Science certificate does not state Nursing on it then a copy of transcripts is required)
• Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services
• At least three years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner in an ambulatory care, occupational health, family practice or emergency department setting
