Job summary

Premise Health Inc. is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Centralized Staffing PRN Pool at the San Antonio Health Center. This role offers 3-4 days per week with travel to four locations in the San Antonio area.

No nights or weekends, competitive pay, and a path to broader PRN opportunities are available. You will assess patient care needs, collaborate with physicians, perform and document health services, and educate patients while maintaining records and equipment.

Qualifications

• RN license in state of practice required.
• BLS/ACLS certification or hands-on training required; ACLS may be required depending on site contract.
• COHN/COHN-S certification preferred and may be required for some sites.
• Minimum of 3 years as RN in emergency, occupational health, or ambulatory care.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient care needs and conduct nursing evaluations.
• Collaborate with physicians for further medical evaluation and care.
• Perform and document medical tests and treatments (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision).
• Administer medications and provide emergency care within scope of practice.
• Maintain equipment and ensure infection control and patient records.

Registered Nurse in our Centralized Staffing PRN Pool, you'll provide care to client employees and their dependents in our Health Center located in San Antonio, TX. Looking for availability 3-4 days per week with the ability to travel to four locations in the San Antonio area. No nights or weekends!

What You’ll Do

• Assesses patient care needs, conducts nursing evaluations, and provides treatment within scope of practice
• Collaborates with physicians and other healthcare practitioners for further medical evaluation and care as needed
• Performs and documents medical tests, screenings, and treatments as defined in site contract (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision)
• Administers medications and emergency care within legal scope of practice
• Maintains medical equipment, ensures a clean and safe environment, and follows infection control procedures
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
• Educates patients on health promotion and participates in follow-up care
• Performs other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

• Certificate from an accredited Nursing School or associate degree (A.S.) is required; Bachelor's degree (BSN) from four-year college or university is preferred
• Currently licensed Registered Nurse in state of practice required
• Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services
• Certification in Occupational Health Nursing (COHN/COHN-S), Emergency Nursing, or Case Management preferred and may be required for some sites
• At least three years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an emergency room, occupational health clinic or other ambulatory care clinic
