The NP will coordinate with specialists as needed, ensuring privacy and HIPAA compliance while adhering to DoD and MEPS policies. Requires NP licensure in the US, ACEN/CCNE accredited education, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

Must hold an NP Master's or Doctoral degree in a nursing specialty accredited by ACEN/CCNE.
Current unrestricted NP license in one of the 50 states, DC, Puerto Rico, Guam, or USVI.

Responsibilities

Perform medical histories, physical examinations, and reviews of required medical tests and documents for Armed Forces applicants.
Review required medical tests and documents pertaining to consultations and medical histories.
Secure a thorough health history from the applicant and record findings.
Arrange medical consultations (but not performing) with orthopedics, psychiatry, ENT, dermatology, internal medicine, and dental.
Abide by DoD, USMEPCOM and other applicable instructions, regulations, and policies.
Apply accession medical standards to determine applicant medical qualifications.
Participate in MEPS local, medical peer reviews.
